Landed cost sums every cost from the factory to your door: goods value + freight + insurance + import duty + other fees. Import duty is applied to the customs value, which in many countries is the goods value plus freight and insurance (the CIF basis) — this calculator uses that basis as an estimate. Duty rules vary by country, so treat the duty figure as indicative and confirm your own customs rules. Dividing the total by quantity gives the per-unit landed cost — the fair number to compare suppliers on.
